About Fugana Gram Panchayat

Fugana (फुगाना) is a Gram Panchayat (village council) in the Budhana development block of Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh. It comes under Budhana tehsil for revenue administration and is part of the Saharanpur Division. Its Local Government Directory (LGD) code is 81302.

Within Budhana block there are 60 gram panchayats (and 498 across Muzaffarnagar district); Fugana is one of them. Its voters elect their MLA from the Shamli assembly constituency and its MP from the Kairana Lok Sabha constituency.

This page brings together everything a resident or visitor of Fugana usually needs: who the Gram Pradhan, MLA and MP are, which villages make up the panchayat, where the polling booths and nearby facilities are, which welfare schemes apply, and how to get documents such as family register copies, income or caste certificates.

Day-to-day records are kept by the Panchayat Secretary (Gram Panchayat Adhikari) posted by Budhana block, who also registers births and deaths for the panchayat.

Every gram panchayat in Uttar Pradesh is required to form 6 committees: Planning and Development Committee (chaired by the Pradhan), Education Committee, Construction Works Committee, Health and Welfare Committee, Administrative Committee and Water Management Committee. The Gram Sabha must meet at least twice a year (after the Kharif and Rabi harvests) to review the accounts and approve the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), which is then uploaded on the eGramSwaraj portal.
